"Petrus Brink was born in Hurley, New York, on 3 Oct 1729 and baptised in Kingston at the RDC (Old Dutch Church) on 12 Oct 1729. He is the son of Lambert Cornelisen Brink (1689-1775) and his wife Rachel Dumond (1698-1742). The Baans for his marriage to Catharina Dumond (1740-1829) were published in the RDC Kingston on 10 Dec 1763, but the actual marriage date was not recorded. They had the following children: Pieter, born 10 Mar 1765; Cornelius, born 15 Nov 1767; Sarah, born about 1769; Johannes, born 24 May 1770 (all in Hurley); Rachel, born 7 Mar 1773; and Catharina, born 19 Mar 1775, both in Stone Ridge, Marbletown Twp. Petrus and family moved back to Hurley some time after the Revolution, where Petrus died on December 31st, 1818. His grave in this cemetery is marked as a Revolutionary War Veteran, but his service was in the Militia well before the Revolution. All three of his sons did fight in the Revolution."
