He was the son of Louis and Rose(Buddy) Stavely and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth E. (Ulrich) Stavely and six children; Harry W. Stavely Jr., Littlestown, John F. Stavely, Chillum Md.; Mrs. Charlotte R. Houston, Robert A. Stavely and Louis G. Stavely, Hyattsville, Md.; Mrs. Thresa Dugan, Warsaw, Va.; 31 grandchildren and the following sisters and a brother, Mrs. Noah C. Snyder, Mrs. Ivan D. Rickrode, Mrs. George A. Kress Sr. and Monroe J. Stavely all of Littlestown, and Mrs. Larry Meade, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Stavely was a member fo St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown and the Holy Name Society. He served in the Marine Corps during World War I and was a member of the American Legion Post of Hyattsville and the Littlestown Fraternal Order of Eagles. M. Stavely was a retired certified public accountant with the United States Government.
The services will be held on Monday morning , meeting at 8:30 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown. A Requien High Mass will follow at 9 O'Clock in St. Alyosius Church in Littlestown. His pastor, the Rev. Dr. John E. Metz, will be celebrant. Internment will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
