John Weeks Field Jr. was born on July 11, 1943, in Washington, DC, his father, John, was 30, and his mother, Norma, was 29, and his sister Nancy was 4. John traveled the world with his parents and lived for a few years in Japan. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Journalism. He was married to Karen Faulkner for 9 years. For years he had his own advertising agency, then at age 40 he embarked on a new adventure by selling his house and going to law school at William and Mary. After graduation he worked as a lawyer in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1994 he had throat cancer, recovered and a few months after being cancer-free, John died of a heart attack.
