Medford Woman Dies At Home Monday

Medford Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Bodewin, 67, will be held at 8 a. m. Thursday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She died at her home Monday evening after having been in ill health for the past year. Burial will be made in the Medford Catholic cemetery, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gregory Reuter officiating. The body is resting in state at the Hartwig and Ruesch Funeral Home. Mrs. Bodewin, nee Marie Ann Kimmen, was born in Luxembourg in 1881. In 1905 she was married in Europe to Michael Mindorff and the couple came to Taylor County that same year. Her husband died and she was married for the second time to Joseph Bodewin at Medford Aug. 28, 1930. Mrs. Bodewin was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and for the past 17 years belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are her husband, three sons, Joseph Mindorff and the Rev. Elgar Mindorff, Cincinnati, Ohio, and S-Sgt. George Mindorff, currently stationed at an air base in California: and one daughter, Mrs. Maynard (Martha) Stahl, Medford. Eight grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Eugenia Fischbach, Luxembourg, Europe, also survive.
