Carl Edmond Burroughs

Union resident, 51 year old Mr. Carl Edmound Burroughs died at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian on August 16, 1995. Funeral services for him were held at Milling Funeral Home Chapel in Union August 18, 1995 with Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Interment took place in the Union Cemetery.

Mr. Burroughs was a member of the Erin Presbyterian Church and his occupation was railroad clerk. He was a member of TCU Rail Road Union and a member of the Union Athletic Booster Club.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Anne Burroughs of Union; one son, Ashley Burroughs of Union; his mother, Marie Burroughs of Decatur, a sister, Patricia Smith of Union; a brother, Kent Burroughs of Newton; two nieces, Stacie Smith and Kelley Smith and a great nephew, Casey Shoemaker.

Pallbearers were Lavelle Burroughs, Donald Shealy, Jerry Russell, Sam Gressett, Larry Scott Meador, Oneal Vance, Don Ferguson and Dr. Bill Wade.
