Ella (Sackman) Lynne, 98, Bismarck, died 11 Oct 2008, at a Bismarck care center. Services were held 14 Oct at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck with the Rev. Jeff Tengesdal officiating. Burial was in Jamestown Highland Home Cemetery next to her husband Harry.
Her family holds her dear to their hearts for the simple devout faith she had in her Lord Jesus Christ. This was her greatest gift that she passed on to her family.
Ella was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mavis and John Askew, Fargo; her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Robert and JoAnn Lynne, Bismarck; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her daughter, Doris; a granddaughter; three brothers and their spouses; five sisters and their spouses; and one infant sister. Memorials could be given to Bishop Lynne Scholarship Fund, Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa; Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck; or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck.
