Ottis Farmer, 54, died Monday, June 13, [1955] at 1:53 a.m. at the Rosary Hospital after being ill for about 4 weeks following a heart attack. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 15 at 2 p.m. from the Jones Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Otis Melton in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The pallbearers were neighbors.

Farmer, son of the late Emmett Farmer & Dona Williamson Farmer, was born August 2, 1900 in Taylor County, KY.

He professed faith in Christ in recent weeks. He was a farmer in the Mannsville community.

He united in marriage to Jane Ann Tungate on January 10, 1922 and to this union 4 children were born.
Surviving are Murrell Farmer, Route 3, Jeffersonville, IN; Ancil Farmer, Louisville; and Elvin and Joyce Farmer, Route 1, Elkhorn. Besides wife and children, he is survived by 1 brother, Ada Farmer, Route 1, Elkhorn.
