Ada Farmer, age 57, died at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Wednesday, May 20 [1959] at 2:30 a.m. Funeral services were held from the Jones Chapel Methodist Church, Saturday, May 23, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Wilbur Whitley and Floyd Day officiating. Surviving are 2 sons, Burl & Donnie, both of Louisville. Two brothers are deceased, Otis & Gillus. Mr. Farmer operated a farm near Mannsville and had worked in Louisville for some time. Pallbearers were Colin McDaniel, Ancel Farmer, Carl Gabehart, Edmon Gabehart, Gene Holt and Hasket McDaniel. He was born May 6, 1902 in Taylor County, Mannsville, the son of the late Emmett Farmer and Donna Williamson. He united in marriage to Florence McDaniel Farmer, some 32 years ago, who died in November of 1949. Mr. Farmer had made his home on Rt. 1, Elkhorn near Mannsville but had lived for some time with his son in Louisville.
