Murrell K. Farmer, 62, a retired baker of Sunny Hill Drive in Campbellsville, son of Janie Tungate Farmer and the late Otis Farmer, was born in Taylor County, June 14, 1924. He died at 3:20 a.m., Monday, March 30, 1987, at the Highlands Baptist Hospital in Louisville after an illness. He united in marriage to Gerdena Wise Aug. 22, 1945. To this union four sons were born: Don Farmer and Lonnie Farmer, both of Hammond, Ind., Larry Farmer, Whiting, Ind., and Murrell Farmer Jr., of Chicago, Ill. Besides his wife and sons, he is survived by 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Janie Farmer, Campbellsville; two brothers and one sister, Joyce McDonald and Charles Farmer, both of Campbellsville, and Ancil Farmer, Louisville; several other relatives and many friends. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Norris McCawley and Bro. Roger Holmes. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery.
