Steve Geresy
BANGOR - Steve Geresy, 94, of Kalamazoo, Mich., formerly of Bangor, died April 7, 2000, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held in July at Arlington Hill Cemetery, Bangor. The Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Feb. 20, 1906, in Lorain, Ohio, and had lived most of his life in Bangor. He was a brick layer for 60 years and a member of the Brick Layer Union Local No. 17, Kalamazoo, Mich.; he was also a member of Westwood Baptist Church, Kalamazoo.
He is survived by three children - Donald S. Geresy of Stevensville, Dorothy M. Randall and Lawrence W. Geresy, both of Winter Haven, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Ellen Barringer of Kalamazoo, Mich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona "Bobbie" Geresy, in 1990.
