Donald Eugene "Rube" Vetor, 94, of Montgomery, passed away on December 30, 2017 at the Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on August 9, 1923 in Summitville, to Mable and Charles Vetor.

He served his country in the Army during WWII in the 82nd Division.

He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 38 1/2 years of service.

Donald enjoyed fishing, helping split wood, and going different places.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Connie J. (James) Young of Montgomery; grandchildren, Amanda Brookins Nichols of Leesburg, Lorri Brookins of Montgomery, Jaime Heckaman Carlson of Warsaw; great-grandchildren, Hannah Murphy of Evansville, Mason Kral of Warsaw; brothers, Garland "Garbo" Vetor, Phil (Carla) Vetor; several sister-in-laws; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife whom he married on March 2, 1945, Barbara Nell Vetor, on October 9, 2008, daughter, Kay Ann Heckaman, on October 4, 2006; his parents; siblings, Charlotte, Francis, Walt, Robert, Max, Gerald, and Ted.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson
