Emily Bankston Wall passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 96. She was born on Sunday, May 22, 1921 in Holden, Louisiana to the late Lillie Hutchinson Bankston and the late Ernest Bankston. She was a resident of Springfield, Louisiana.
Emily is survived by her daughters, Catherine J. Wall, and Elaine Taylor and her husband Bruce; brother, Marvin Bankston and wife Grace; grandsons, Kendall Loper and his wife Vicki, and Paul Chavers; great-granddaughter, Jessica Loper; two step-grandchildren, Ron Taylor and wife LeAnn and daughter Sarah, and Tammy Napoli and her husband Victor and son, Victor Anthony Napoli.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie J. Wall, her father, Ernest Bankston; mother, Lillie Hutchinson Bankston; two sons, Richard E. Wall, and Carlton L.Wall; grandson, Michael Loper; and brother, Alvin Bankston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery, Springfield.
