Howard Eugene Vines, 65, of 119 Youngs Valley Road, Cedartown, passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 following an extended illness. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Haralson County. He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lawrence Vines and Ethel Kerr Vines; his wife, Janet O'Neal Hulsey Vines; five sisters, Willie Vines, Pauline Gilliard, Florine Hulsey, Maureen Greenway and Thelma Gentry; three brothers W.C. Vines, Rev. Robert W. Vines, Sr., and John Henry Vines, Sr. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Rev. Randy Vines and Melissa; his daughter, Janice V. Causey; brother, Frank Vines; sisters, Mary Greenway, Jeanette Callahand and Faye Crawford; a grandson and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Friendly Baptist Church with Rev. John Vines, Rev. R.B. Hulsey and Rev. Joey Martin officiating.
