Bobby Montgomery, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, January 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Stinnett. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the funeral home.

Bobby was born the baby of twelve on August 13, 1931 in Reydon, Oklahoma. He married Mary Lou Taylor on July 17, 1956. Bobby proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was attending college when he enlisted in the Army and upon his honorable discharge he finished his degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Bobby also received his post graduate degrees from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and West Texas State.

He retired as the principal of Stinnett High School and then became a field mechanic for Diamond Shamrock. Bobby enjoyed working and truly loved his work. He also enjoyed spending time raising cattle.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Montgomery; ten siblings, Charlie, Lindsey, Lellia, Marguarite, Pat, Kenneth, Billy, Viola, Dorothy and Velma.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Montgomery of Amarillo; sons, Tim Montgomery of Houston, Bobby Wayne Montgomery and wife Montee of Stinnett; two grandchildren, Matthew Montgomery and wife Vanessa, Mark Montgomery and wife Leia; four great grandchildren, Zack, Evan, Kinley, Cooper; sister, Betty of Elk City; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Anna Beth Williams.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Montgomery, Mark Montgomery, Bobby Wayne Montgomery, Tim Montgomery, Leon Park, Mac Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Cooper, Rooster Dawson, Stanley Aylor, Mike Curry, George Jarvis, Teddy Gaddis, Mac Conaway, Louis Dodson, and Eugene Shirley.
