"Mae Terry Davis, 89, of Summit, died on Saturday, June 29, 1996, at the Bridgewater Care Center in Bridgewater Township.
"Born in 1906 in Bernardsville, she was the daughter of the late Oscar F. and Clara (Croot) Terry. She was a graduate of Bernards High School.
"Mrs. Davis had lived in Irvington for 35 years before moving to Summit 25 years ago.
"She and her late husband, Rankin Davis who died in 1965, owned and operated the Davis Homestead Funeral Home in Irvington from 1936-1970.
"Mrs. Davis belonged to the Order of Eastern Star in Bernardsville and Irvington.
"She was also a member of the National Society of New England Women.
"Services were held Tuesday, July 2, at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse. Interment was at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield."
