She lived at 570 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville for all of her married life. The house was built c. 1900 by her grandparents, John and Emma Croot. She and her husband moved there in 1920 after their marriage after her mother purchased it from her mother's estate. Her parents lived next door at 572. The house remained in her family until the 1980s. Interestingly, a dog kennel is still at that location. Her husband was a professional dog handler and ran the Ter-Cor Kennels there as did her son.
