Lived in Howard most of her life except while she was employed in New York City, Philadelphia and other cities in the east. She was a millinary trimmer and her avocation was art. She studied with Cobden, one of the country's foremost painters of roses and with Grace S. MARTIN of Philadelphia. Member of Ceramic Art League of Philadelphia, the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Howard Methodist church and the Howard Civic Club. Director of the Centre County Library. Two sisters, Mrs. Mabel IRVINS of Howard and Mrs. Emma CASEMAN of Sullivan county and two brothers Eugene O., New York City and George R. of Philadelphia survive. Burial Schenck Cemetery.
