Fred is the firstborn child of Edwin George Weeks and Elizabeth Jane Hadlock. He grew up in Vermont. He didn't marry. About 1890 a missionary came to Vermont and taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to the family. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Vernal, Utah.

Fred died of Typhoid Fever. The death certificate give the date of death as October 5, 1904. The grave marker says 1905 as does namesinstone.com.
