George B. Osborne, 80 of Indianapolis passed away March 19, 2007. He was born July 25, 1926 in Rush County to the late Fred B. and Beatrice E. Austin Osborne. George married LaVonne Reed on September 18, 1948 in Rushville and she survives.

Other survivors include daughter Lorraine Elysabeth of Indianapolis; sisters Wilna Northam Chance of Mays, IN; Betty Dickey of Rushville and brother Robert F. (Ruby) Osborne of Rushville. He was also preceded in death by sister Carole Fizer and brother Russell Osborne.

He was employed thirty seven years as an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance Co. retiring in 1995 and was previously employed as a tool & die maker for ten years. George was an Army WWII veteran serving with an Armored Division in the European Theatre and was a graduate of Orange High School and Lains Business and Drafting College. His memberships include Center Untied Methodist Church; Southport Lodge No. 270 F. & A.M.; Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite; former trustee of Center United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer.
