Betty J. Dickey, 94, a life long Rush County resident passed away on November 21, 2015.

Betty was born July 6, 1921, in Rush County to Fred and Beatrice (Austin) Osborne. She was one of six children, survived by Wilna Northam Chance, and preceded by Robert Osborne, Russell Osborne, George Osborne, and Carol Fizer.
Betty married Max Marion Dickey on June 11, 1939. He passed away on July 27, 1988. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church for many years. She was a Rush County farmer’s wife. She was active in the Priscilla Art and Literary Club, Fairview Ladies Aid and later the Plum Creek Christian Church. Betty was a graduate of Rushville High School in 1939.

Betty is survived by her three children, Beth Dixon of Madison, Indiana, Rebecca Wolf of Grayslake, Illinois, and Max W. Dickey (Sonia) of Fishers, Indiana. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville, with Shawn Tipton officiating. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service on Wednesday.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Rush County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Rush County Community Foundation – Charity of Donor’s Choice.
