Died Sunday at his home in Avon Township. Meiny was born in Avon Township to Frank & Julia (Achman) Himsl. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, serving in Japan. After the war he worked for a short time driving taxi and as a mechanic and welder at the granite sheds in St. Cloud. Meiny worked at Vision Ease for 42 years and also farmed on the family farm until retiring in 1991.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Esther in 2001, siblings, Mildred Mock, Eldred, Amor, Marie Poppin, Gary, Melbourne, and JoAnne Plueger.
