Mrs. Mazie M. Baker, 72, of Rt. 1, Woodsboro, died Monday, April 12 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of William Baker who died in 1953. Born in Frederick County, Jan. 31, 1904, she was a daughter of the late Issac and Mary E. Snyder Smith. She was a member of the Chapel Lutheran Church near Libertytown.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Eyler and Miss Edna L. Baker, both of Rt. 1, Woodsboro, one grandson, Wayne A. Eyler, Woodsboro, one brother, Charles T. Smith, Rt. 1, Frederick, four sisters, Mrs. Annie M. Reiley, Mrs. Lillian I. Strawsburg, Mrs. Edna V. Stitely, all of Rt. 1, Frederick, and Mrs. Catherine L. Castle, Troutville.

Friends may call at the Stauffer Funeral home, (formerly Barton-Stauffer) in Walkersville on Tuesday from 6 to 9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. Services will be conducted Thursday, April 15 at 2 P.M. from the funeral home by the Rev. Harry L. Wolpert her pastor. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery near Libertytown.
