LINDON - Willard Lawrence Harris, 67, died at the American Fork Hospital Friday, of a heart ailment.
He was born October 26, 1890 in Pleasant Grove, the son of Albert and Sarah Jane Herbst Harris. He attended schools in Pleasant Grove and the Brigham Young University. He was a member of the LDS Church holding the office of Seventy.
Mr. Harris married Alta Jane Davies, March 17, 1912 at Shelton, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He spent his early married life in Idaho, farming, and in 1924 moved back to Pleasant Grove where he was a dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife of Lindon, and four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Shirley (Gladys) Richards, Moses, Washington; Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Kerr, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Harold (LaDean) Peterson, Orem; Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Zabriskie, Salt Lake City; Leland and Gail Harris of Lindon; 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Clarence, Orem; Leonard, Theron, and Roy Harris, all of Lindon; Mrs. Alive Devey, Alpine; and Mrs. Lauretta Humphries, Richfield, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Lindon Second Ward, directed by Bishop Kenneth Gillman. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
