Alice Bickford Drown was born to Americus Vespucius Drown and Martha Irene Wildman on 18 July 1874 in Beaver Dam, Dodge, Wis. Bickford was the maiden name of her paternal great-grandmother.

Alice married in Beaver Dam, Wis on 17 Dec. 1891 at the Assembly Presbyterian Church to Harvey Henry Bacon, son of Henry Harvey Bacon and Emma Jane Philp. This was recorded in the church list of marriages as well as in Vol 8 p 106 of the Dodge County records.

They moved from Wis. for a time to Ottawa, Franklin, Kansas where their first born son, George, was born. They were back in Wis. a short time where their second son, Americus was born, and then by 1903 were living in Tacoma, Washington, where their third & forth sons, Howard and Eliphalet were born.

Alice died in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington on 9 Nov 1954 aged 80. Her husband had died 10 years before in Marysville, Snohomish, Washington aged 76.

Mrs. Alice B. Bacon, 80, died Tues. in a local hospital. Born in Beaver Dam, Wis. she had lived in Tacoma for 55 years. She was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. She is survived by a son, Howard W., Marysville, Wash., six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held Thurs. in Tuell's Chapel. Burial will be in New Tacoma Cemetery.
