Americus Vespucius Drown was born 21 June 1848, the first of two children born to Frederick Clark Drown and Emeline Amelia Bushnell in Beaver Dam, Dodge, Wis.
He married in Burnett, Dodge, Wis. on 26 Feb. 1870 to Martha Irene Wildman recorded in Vol 5 p 159 of Dodge Co records. She used the name "Mattie."
In 1904 they sold the farm in Beaver Dam and moved to Summit, Waukesha Co, Wis to the Genrich farm (daughter married to Genrich).
Americus died in Waukesha, Waukesha Co, Wis. on 2 June 1915 aged 66, just before his 67th birthday.
Americus and Mattie had 4 children: Marshall Henry Drown, Alice Bickford Drown, Lulu Emeline Drown, and Ora Clark Drown.
