Harvey was a farmer and also delivered groceries in Ottawa, Franklin, Kansas where they lived a time. He was a manager in a grocery store once they lived in Tacoma, Washington. He also worked as a warehouse wholesale grocery manager.
Harvey died in Marysville, Snohomish, Washington at age 76.
Harvey and Alice had 4 sons: George Fredrick, Americus Vespucius Henry, Howard Wildman, and Eliphalet Bristol Bacon.

He had lived in Tacoma 41 years at Fifth St. and was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church and the AOUW of Ottawa, Kansas. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lt. A. V. H. Bacon, USA; and Howard W. of Marysville; two brothers, Lipha V and William A of Ottawa, and six grandchildren. Services will be Tues. at Tuells.
