Nanalie Stokes Warlick of Dunwoody, Georgia died at 97 years of age of natural causes. She was born on September 13, 1920 in Florence, SC and grew up in Bishopville, SC. Nan graduated from Winthrop University, SC. In 1945, she joined the Women's Army Corps. In October, 1946 she met Captain William (Bill) A. Warlick in Fort Bragg, NC, then married him 3 weeks later. He became a Lt. Colonel. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Warlick traveled extensively. Their marriage lasted almost 53 years. After traveling many places around the world, they settled in the Atlanta area. Nan and Bill were long time members of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Sadly, Mr. Warlick died in August 1999.

In addition to raising a family, Nan played golf and tennis. She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends. Two children, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren survive her. Two other grandchildren preceded her in death: Heather A. Warlick and Andrew Richard Warlick.
