I watched my Mother struggle for years to trace our family tree back, long before the internet. She's been gone for 20 years now, but I'm carrying on (successfully) in her footsteps thanks to amazing sites like this. For so many reasons I wish she was here now, but in particular, I just know she'd love Find a Grave. Being here and contributing helps keeps her memory close.

RIP Mom (and as of June 2022 - RIP Dad)

I enjoy giving back to the community by photographing tombstones and uploading new data (especially GPS coordinates to make it easier for families to visit). If I upload a photo to a memorial that looks somewhat identical to an existing photo, it's because it comes with GPS coordinates. I travel quite a bit and find pleasure in stopping at random cemeteries along the way to snap a few pictures. Because of this, my contributions vary widely.

I have taken a more active role in adopting/maintaining memorials that have been transferred to Find A Grave. I have the time and dedication to research edit requests and respond to messages and am open to any transfer requests (both to me and from me). I have no problem transferring family members. This isn't a numbers game and I'm very liberal with the transfer policy: just ask! This site and its members should at all times be a positive force. If you are creating conflict and causing heartache, I beg you to step down. You are part of the problem.

When I have the time and am home, I'm working on photographing and transcribing a number of cemeteries in the metro Atlanta area that need some love. If you need anything in or around Atlanta, just ask!
