L. P. Warner, 41 years old, a merchant of Grayson, Caldwell parish, was brought to the Baptist Hospital here today suffering from six bullent wounds, received in a pistol duel with Oscar Rentz, at Grayson last night. According to the brother of the wounded man who accompanied him to the hospital, Warner was standing on the street talking to other parties when Rentz walked up and remarked: "I have got you now" and commenced to shoot, firing six times, all of the bullets taking effect. Warner attempted to pull his revolver but it hung in his pocket and he was delayed in drawing it. When he did fire, however, it is said that he shot Rentz' arm off. It is said that the two men had a disagreement about a month ago.

Warner is very dangerously wounded and his recovery is said to be doubtful. He has a wife and three children.
