Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Assembly of God Church for Arthur Remy who passed away after a brief illness [September 9, 1948]. Although he had not been too well recently, his death was unexpected.

Mr. Remy was a familiar figure in Ainsworth, having made it his home the past sixty-two years and he will be sadly missed by his many friends.

George Arthur Remy, son of William Henry and Matilda Essex Remy was born on a farm in Bartholomew County near Hope, Indiana, June 19, 1871. He departed this life in Ainsworth, September 9, 1948 at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 21 days.

He came to Ainsworth with his parents in the fall of 1886 where he has resided continuously until his death except for short periods of time spent in Grand Junction, Colo., David City, Mitchell and Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

He was an active member of the Assembly of God Church here for about fifteen years, taking part in the various church activities to the best of his ability.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Herron and Mrs. Madge Crie. Two brothers, Delbert, Long Meadow, Mass., Waldo, Indianapolis, Ind., two sisters, Mrs. Luella McManigal, Scottsbluff, Nebr., Mrs. Verne Troxel, Los Angeles, Calif. Only Mrs. McManigal was able to come at this time.
