Rena Griffin was the eighth of nine children born in March 1858 to Thomas Chipman Griffin & Rebecca Rockwell Griffin. Her siblings were: brothers Harris, Alonzo, Daniel, Wallace & Noble, and sisters Remina "Mina" Churchill, Athelia Hill & Annie Remick. The Griffin family was involved in the shoe manufacturing business in the Wayland, MA area. She married Joseph P Stewart in 1881 and they were the parents of J Ralph E Stewart, Olive Stewart Jason, & Frank H Stewart. They raised their family in Framingham, MA and then lived in Cohasset with their daughter in their later years. Florena died about 1925.
