Leotta M. Ziegler, 94 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born June 21, 1923 in Valparaiso to Louis and Fannie (Sherrick) Breitzke. Leotta was a member of Central Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors of Wanatah, since 1971 serving as a past president. Leotta is survived by her children, Donald (Joyce) Wood of Alabama and Leotta (Allen) Weaver of Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 46 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edward Wood, Sr. and Wayne Ziegler; son, Edward Wood, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Cook; grandchildren, Ronald (Cook) Marron, Brenda Gay Weaver, and Roberta Wood; several great grandchildren; and sister, Amy Breitzke; brothers, Donald, Louis, and Amos Breitzke.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial of ashes will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Kouts.
