Wayne W Ziegler, 83 of Valparaiso, IN, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Whispering Pines.

A resident of Valparaiso since 1955, he was born April 8 1925 in Arcadia, WI to William and Esther (Lubkie) Ziegler. Wayne served in the US Army from 1949 to 1955, and worked at Indiana General for 34 years, retiring in 1990. He was a charter member of Central Christian Church in Valparaiso, where he served on the board and was active in the Joy Group. He was a member of the Wanatah American Legion, the Royal Neighbors Chapter 9040, the Senior Citizens groups in Kouts, Wanatah, and LaCrosse, and the Kouts Senior Saints; and was involved with Farm Bureau. He was a distributor for Rawleigh and Watkins Products for nearly 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Peterson; three brothers, Lyle, Nathan and Lloyd; one sister, Ruth Rusch; and two step-children, Sandra Cook and Edward Lee Wood, Jr.

Services were held Wednesday, November 19 at Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso with Rev Don Thornton officiating. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Kouts.
