Services for Barney Purvis Tullis will be at 10AM, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria. Visitation will be from 5Pm until 9PM, Sunday, July 23rd and from 8AM until time of service Monday, July 24th at the funeral home. Interment will be at Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery, Summerville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Barney, 62, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. He was a janitor custodian at Tioga Junior High School for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Lavelle Tullis and Iris Ineta Taylor Tullis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Betty Mae Greene; brothers, Dalton Greene, Lavelle Tullis and wife Linda Saunders Tullis, Larry Tullis and Kennie Tullis; step-son, B.J. Mills; and granddaughter, Arielle; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Lavelle Tullis, Jr., Terrance “Terry” Marler, David Jarratt, Steven Jarratt, Matthew Bell and Taylor Tullis.
