Mr. Robert Lee Banks, Sr., age 87 of Brodhead, KY died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY. He was born in El Centro, CA on Jan. 6, 1920 the son of Robert Delaney and Wilma Banks. He was a retired truck driver for the Bluegrass Army Depot and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a son, Robert Banks, Jr. of Berea, KY; one daughter, Edna Mae Mathis of Nicholasville, KY; one sister, Hope Scott of Indiana; and four half-brothers. Also surviving are five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Dixon Banks.
