Lynn “L.B.” Ball age 85 a resident of Old Fort passed away peacefully at his home July 3, 2017.
He was a US Army veteran with an honorable discharge. He fought in the Korean War as a medic. L.B. was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cleveland for over 50 years and also served as Justice of the Peace.
L.B. was an avid outdoorsman. He loved Hunting, Fishing, and camping, he also loved to make a garden. He loved his animals and always had horses to ride. He also loved to sell and trade them. He loved spending time at his cabins in the Ocoee Mountains with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Bonnie Ball his brothers Billy, JP, John Wesley and an infant baby, his sisters Betty Bain, Marlene Ball, Delores Ball and Brenda Moats.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Wilma Rose Ball, his daughter Marilyn Johnson and her husband Mike, his step-son Michael Rose and his wife Kathy, 3 grandchildren Zachary Johnson, Joshua and Michaela Rose, one brother Jimmie Ball and his wife Janie who was L.B.’s special caregiver, his aunt Kathryn Ball and many nieces, nephews, cousins special friends and neighbors.
A Remembrance Of Life Service will be held at 2o’clock Friday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Terry Bowden, Rev. Gary Higgins and Rev. Ray Higgins officiating. The interment will follow in the Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery.
