Ruby Keith Ball, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 28, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born on February 2, 1935 and spent her entire life in Bradley County. She was a member at Washington Ave Baptist Church for 48 years, she was employed at Duracell for 34 years, where she retired from.
She loved to travel with her friends on bus tours and has visited all 50 states, plus Canada and Mexico. She loved quilting, reading, and growing beautiful flowers.
She was a member of the Bradley and Polk Co. Historical and Geneological Society. She devoted many years researching her family’s ancestors and their history. She was also a member of The United Club.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lester (Ted) Keith and mother Ona Marie Brock Keith of Cleveland. Survivors include daughter Marilyn Ball Johnson, son in law Mike and grandson Zack Johnson; special grand daughter Tasha Whitted (Phillip) and children Aubrie and Blake; three brothers James (Viola) Arley (Betty), and Lester Keith Jr.; three sisters Della Watkins, Shirley Holcomb, and Leona Poteet; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend Martha Bostic.
The family will receive friends on Monday April 2, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and the service will follow at 7:00pm. Rev. Ray Higgins and Rev. James Vaughn will be officiating. Interment will be Tuesday April 3rd at 11:00am at Cedar Springs Cemetery.
