Daughter of Henry A. RARDIN and his wife Elizabeth HULL. Her exact date of birth is still in question, as her age was obscured in the photo of her original marker, and was not given on her second marker. The date given was based on an assumption that a minor transcription error was made, giving her age as 51 years, 1 month, and 23 days, as opposed to the 57 years suggested by her second marker. Even then, date calculators disagree as to whether she was born on the 16th or 17th of August.

Rebecca married Jacob MINTUN on or about 4 May 1815 in Washington county, Ohio. Together, they were the parents of 12 known children: Julia Ann, John, Isaac, Elizabeth Rardin, Charles B., Rebecca, Matthew Albert, Hannah, Eliza Ann, Henry, Rachel Vance, and Caroline MINTUN.
