Mrs. Anderson of Hume Dead - Mrs. Ira Anderson, a well known resident of Hume, passed away at the home Thursday. Anna Lucille, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rainy, (sic) was born at Sprague, August 10, 1885, and passed away December 17, 1953, at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 7 days. On October 11, 1905, she was united in marriage to Ira Anderson. She was a member of the Hume Christian church. She had lived her entire lifetime in the vicinity of Sprague and Hume. Surviving are the husband, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Irene Caskey, and Mrs. Virginia Finley of Hume; Mrs. Ruby Billingsley, Rich Hill and Mrs. Betty Backer, Fort Scott, Kas.; four sons, Earl, St. Louis; Merle and Charles of Hume, and Kenneth, of the United States Army, stationed at the Presidio, San Franisco, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Casteel, El Cajon, Calif. She was preceded in death by three sons, Willie, Roy Lee and Clarence, who was killed in action in World War II while serving in the United States Navy. Funeral services under the direction of the Both Funeral Service, were Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hume Christian Church. Burial in the Hume Cemetery.
