Keith Orson Grames

Early Life: Keith was born March 5, 1922, in Price, Utah, to Orson Francis Grames and Rose Johanah Christensen Grames.

Life's Work | Service | Interests: In 1942, Keith married Wanda Shelley Grames in the Manti Utah Temple. Together, they had five children: the late, Warren K. Grames (Kathy), Patricia A. Lyon (Brent), Rita W. Lloyd (Ron), Ron L. Grames (Irene), and Timothy O. Grames (Tonya). He has 21 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Throughout his life, Keith was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joyfully served in many positions in the Church and was a high priest. He was a proud veteran of World War II, and served four honorable years in the United States Army Air Corps. Keith and Wanda spent the majority of their years together living in Pleasant Grove, Utah. After 50 loving years of marriage filled with much joy and sweet memories, Wanda passed away. Keith then met and married Macey Drake of The Dalles, Oregon, in 1992. He and Macey served a mission for the Church in Palmyra, New York. Serving a mission was a dream come true for Keith and Macey and they poured their hearts into their work. The people of Palmyra were blessed to have had their service. Following their mission, they lived in The Dalles, Oregon, before returning to Sandy, Utah. Macey passed away after 14 years of marriage. In 2007, Keith met and married Marjorie Louise Parker, of Stockton, Missouri. Marjorie was a huge blessing and gave Keith a very happy ten years of life. They lived in Sandy, Utah, and enjoyed the sweet time they had together. Their best accomplishments together included seeing their family grow and be happy. Keith was a musician extraordinaire, playing the saw, banjo, mandolin, dulcimer, Jew's harp, spoons, and the fiddle. He and Wanda played in a small band called Papa's Parlor Pickers for 18 years. They played in many Senior Centers, the Utah State Fair and many local dances. He was a kind, funny, honest, hardworking, charitable, loving, and gentle man. He was a good friend, an amazing father and a one of a kind grandfather. Keith Orson Grames, of Sandy, Utah, peacefully passed away June 1, 2017. He was 95.

Survived By: His wife, Marjorie; his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded In Death By: His parents; son, Warren K. Grames; grandson, Robert Grames; great-grandson, Braedon Savage; brothers, Francis Grames and Lyle Grames; sisters, Vendora Barber and Mazel Gale.
