She married a polygamist (1) Joseph Marcellus Simmons, 26 July 1855 and was sealed to him in the LDS President's Office, Salt Lake City, SL, Utah. They divorced before 1857, having no children.
She married (2) Beemis Hamilton Quigley 21 April 1858 at Salt Lake City, SL, Utah. They moved to Ormsby Nevada and then to California before their children were born. They had three known children: Robert L. 1859-1925; James Ray 1862-1947; and Lillie abt 1865.
Bemis was a very colorful character, who traveled to California to find gold. He was a horseback circus performer and strongman, and traveled as far as the "Sandwich Islands". He and a partner organized "The Golden West Circus", which traveled extensively, through Utah, Nevada and on to California.
His great granddaughter recorded the following: He married Emma Bloxham in Salt Lake City and had two sons, Robert L. and James Ray. He [Beemis] was later divorced, returned to Illinois and remarried and had a second family. My grandfather was James Ray Quigley of Turlock, California (Businessman and Mayor). He later returned to California, from Illinois, as a young man. My father was James Harold Quigley. Note: James Harold died in Los Angeles County in 1996.
Emma and Beemis had moved to San Joaquin County California prior to the birth of Lillie, and then divorced prior to 1869. Quigley was in Illinois and married to another by 1870.
Emma married (3) John Worthington Harris, of Indiana, 25 August 1869 at San Joaquin County California. They had two known children: Lula May Harris 1870-1947 (md. Thomas Jefferson Gill); and John Worthington Harris, Jr. 1873-1916.
