Joseph Turner "Bud" Dixon was a retired shipfitter and Production controller from the United States Naval Shipyard, Charleston SC, and after his retirement joined his wife Bernice Palmer Dixon in running the Camp Road Nursery on James Island, SC
He served in the US Navy and saw combat in the Philippine Islands and in several other areas of the Pacific.
