"Pioneer Dies
Jacob Hanna, one of the pioneer settlers of Gilroy, died this week at his home in Rivera, Los Angeles county after a lingering illness. He came here with his parents and made this his home for a long time but had lived for the past 25 years in the southern part of the state. The funeral services were held here Thursday and the interment was in the Masons' and Odd Fellows cemetery. Besides his sons Walter Thomas and Samuel, he leaves to mourn his loss a sister Miss Izzie Hann, and a brother William Hanna."
