Estridge Daniel was born in 1816 in Clarke County, Alabama, a son of James and Sarah Robinson Daniel. He was named for his uncle, Estridge Daniel. He married Minvera A. Porter on 17 November 1835 in Clarke County, They moved with his parents and siblings to De Soto Parish, LA in 1838 and on to Jefferson and Hardin County, TX by 1860. He died intestate in Harris County, TX where his estate was probated. He was a farmer and was a party in an often cited court case in Harris County, a land dispute.

Estridge and Minvera had: Martha Jane, Pickens, Jonah, Walter, Aaron Kinsey, James Hampton, John and William.

Though Estridge died in Harris County, TX, his body may have been brought back to the family cemetery in Hardin County for burial which was about 80 miles away. His estate records show that he still had a large amount of land in Hardin County at the time of is death.

Minerva may be the Minverva A. Daniel b. Dec. 11, 1820 d. Sep. 30, 1893 who is buried in the Stockdale Cemetery in Wilson County, TX. She was living with her children in Hays County, TX about 70 miles away in 1880.
