Agnes G. Smith, of McSherrystown, entered into God's eternal care February 12 in Hanover.

Born in Conewago Township, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Smith) Murren.

Agnes was retired from Middleburg Manufacturing Company in Hanover after 48 years of service. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown, and the Forget-Me-Nots.

She was the wife of the late Francis E. "Ike" Smith, who departed this life February 2, 2001, and surviving are one son, Jude T. Smith of McSherrystown; one daughter, Kathleen F. Hartlaub of McSherrystown; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Smith; five brothers, Raymond Murren, Leo Murren, Paul Murren, Charles Murren, and Joseph Murren; and by four sisters, Bernadette Groft, Regina Murren, Catherine Rickrode, and Marie Powell.
