Mrs. Mary Magdaline Murren, 73, widow of William L. Murren, died Wednesday afternoon at her home, North Street, McSherrystown, after a long illness.
Daughter of the late Francis and Agnes Smith, Mrs. Murren was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary church and the Arch-confraternity of the Passion.
She leaves these children; Raymond, of Baltimore; Charles, Paul and Leo, Mrs. Leo Groft, Mrs. Francis Smith; all of McSherrystown; Miss Regina Murren, Broadway, Mrs. Vitus Rickrode, Mrs. Rodney Powell and Joseph Murren, all at home and 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 at the Church of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Rt Rev Monsignor Patrick F. McGee, rector, officiated. Interment was in the Conewago Chapel Cemetery. The pallbearers were; Eugene Smith, Stephen Smith, Bernard Murren, Joseph Murren, Curvin Miller and Paul Klunk.
