Mr. Bobby Jenkins Byrd, age 77, of Dunn died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.
Mr. Byrd was born October 14, 1937 in Johnston County the son of the late Hatcher and Lula Weeks Byrd and is preceded in death by wife, Doris Coats Byrd. He was also preceded in death by, a sister Maybelle Singletary and 3 brothers, Raeford, Roy Randle & Glenn "Bill" Byrd.
A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Beasley and Rev. Jerome Pope. Burial followed in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
He is survived by: a stepdaughter, Priscilla McKenzie of Dunn, NC; three stepsons, Sammy Moore of Dunn, NC, Tim Moore of Benson, NC & Ronnie Moore of Godwin, NC; four sisters, Frances Byrd Whittenton of Benson, NC, Janice Thorne of Smithfield, NC, JoAnn Drennon of Four Oaks, NC and Betty Jean Capps of Four Oaks, NC; brother, Hilton Byrd and wife Betty Margaret Byrd; many nieces & nephews.
