Darris (Bob) Dewayne Stowers born July 16, 1945, died May 8, 2017 with his loving family by his side in Palm Harbor, Florida. He was formerly of Clothier, WV and Waterbury, Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurl and Gladys (Linville) Stowers; brothers, Sebert, Hurl, Jr., Eugene, Teddy, Joe, Tommy, Charles, and Clyde Stowers; and sisters, Kay Bishop and Betty Walker.

He is survived by three sons, Darris (Wayne) and his wife Kathleen Stowers of Palm Harbor, FL, Robert and his wife April of Naugatuck, CT, Seth and his wife Trifina of Hoffman Estate, Illinois; six grandchildren, Darris and his wife Katina, Tommy, James, Keeton, Gavin and Isabel; one great grandchild, MaKailyn; a brother, Dempsey and his wife Judy Stowers of Clothier, WV; two sisters, Marvine Martin of Clothier, and Carol Riggs of Bridgeport, CT.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Paul Little officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
