Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis T. Babin, Sr. and Florence E. (Brunt) Babin, she had lived in Warwick for 17 years and Leonia, N.J. for 11 years, before moving to Wickford 7 years ago.
Mrs. Hartnett was a Girl Scout leader in Warwick. She was a member of the Women's Club at St. Timothy Church and its School Parents Association. She was a volunteer for the Rhode Island Hospital Guild and a member of the St. Xavier Alumnae Association.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, a son, a sister, a brother and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Jacqueline E. Kelly and Louis T. Babin, Jr..
Entombment will be Our Risen Christ Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
