For Fifty Years a Resident of Caledonia - Passes Away at Home of Son Here.
Mrs. A. J. Ralston died at 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the home of her son George Ralston, 316 Rockton avenue. She was stricken with paralysis last Friday and from the first there was little hope of her recovery, as she was nearly 81 years of age.

Three years after their marriage they moved to Canada, and after a stay of seven years they came to Caledonia. Mr. Ralston died in 1888, and two years ago his widow came to Rockford to make her home with her son.
Six children survive her. They are J. D. and George Ralston, Mrs. James Harvey and Mrs. Margaret Ferguson of this city; Mrs. Martha Watterson, Aredale, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Blass, Mongo, Ind. Three brothers of decedent, John, Peter and Edward McKerrall, live in Canada.
